My family’s week at Villa Collalto was absolutely wonderful. We had such a great time. The villa is really beautiful and spacious enough that we were all very comfortable and happy. The staff took very good care of us and were very sweet. The meals were supurb and it was such a treat to be able to seat us all together outside. That was one of the things I was looking for when I began to plan the trip—common space where we could all gather together.
I enjoyed meeting you so much. Thank you for being there when we arrived and arranging for the excellent lunch (I’m afraid you worked too hard). I was sorry that it didn’t work to get together while my daughter and her family and I were in Rome. I would have loved to see you again and have a little more time to visit. But we were invited to have dinner at the home of my son David’s friends that Tuesday night (the night you said you were coming back) and on Wednesday we had a full day’s tour with a Vatican guide of the Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s and the Castello. When we returned to the apartment we were dead tired, still had a whole lot of packing to do, and were being picked up by a driver to go to the airport at 6:30 the next morning. I hope there will be an opportunity to see you again sometime in the future. In the meantime, plese accept my thanks for all you did to help make my family reunion at Villa Collalto a wonderful experience that we will all remember.
All the best to you,
